Aside from garnering mixed reactions to her appearance in a parking lot video, Tori Spelling was eliminated from “DWTS.” Spelling, who has been candid about body image, recently reflected on her time on the show.

Bringing some fun to Instagram, Hollywood star Tori Spelling, 51, and her “Dancing with the Stars” (“DWTS”) partner, Pasha Pashkov, made a trendy dance video they posted on September 24. While the video, which was shared before their “DWTS” elimination, showed off their dancing skills, netizens focused on how Spelling looked.

Choreographing their routine to Freak Nasty’s “Da’ Dip 25,” Pashkov and Spelling exuded cool confidence as they shook their hips from side to side while placing their hands on their waists. The two danced their hearts out in a parking lot.

Footage then showed Pashkov, who sported a charcoal T-shirt and black sweatpants, dipping all the way back in a chair until he was positioned parallel to the floor with his left leg extended out.

Following suit, Spelling, who donned a black tank top and red, flowy skirt, did the same thing, but instead of using a chair for support, she used the railing of a staircase.

The duo then did an impressive dip together, with Pashkov holding onto Spelling’s back securely as he dipped her low. The video then cuts back to the two doing the same hip-sway move they did in the beginning before it transitions to show them eating tasty-looking sushi after they dipped the food in some sauce.

Allowing the post to speak for itself, Pashkov simply captioned, “🍣>.” Upon seeing the dance video, social media users took to the comment section of the post to assert their opinions. Some netizens expressed how something seemed amiss with Spelling’s appearance.

“Why does her head look so big?” pondered an observer. Reiterating the sentiment, another echoed, “Her plastic face seems large.”

A spectator opined, “A little too much lip injections and plastic surgery. I don’t understand why actors ruin their faces. It looks so unnatural.” “Too much cosmetic surgery = looking older,” added someone else. Seemingly wanting to strike a neutral tone, an Instagrammer noted, “Tori is the most [interesting-looking] person.”

However, a few fans countered the aforementioned comments with praise for how Spelling looked. “Get it mama… Looking good 🙌,” encouraged an admirer.

Complimenting both Spelling and Pashkov, another fan swooned, “Looking so youthful! I’m so happy Tori has you [as] an instructor and best buddy. Always ❤️❤️.”

While Spelling and Pashkov may still be friends, the professional dance “instructor” and actress’ journey on “DWTS” came to an end yesterday, September 25 (2024).

The official Instagram account for the popular show shared the news via a post that displayed pictures of Spelling and Pashkov on their last night competing.

“Last night we said goodbye to Tori and Pasha […] It was an absolute joy seeing the energy you brought to the #DWTS ballroom! #OscarsNight,” penned the account in the caption of the post.

Debriefing after their elimination with pop culture outlet Entertainment Tonight, Spelling reflected on her experience on the show after previously turning down the opportunity to compete over 30 times.

“I never believed in myself, like, much of anything, and like, this experience has really helped me believe in myself. Pash has helped me believe in myself, and, yeah, I’m gonna keep dancing,” divulged Spelling.

After being asked if she would be interested in taking her dancing skills to the Broadway stage, Spelling revealed, “I said no to Broadway so many times. I think I’m gonna say yes now.”

Spelling’s admission to struggling with self-doubt in the past dates back years, as in 2009, she opened up about experiencing body image issues.

At the time, she was a mother of only two, still married to Dean McDermott, and was experiencing the pressure in Hollywood to look a certain way.

“I knew as soon as I left the house a week, even two weeks after giving birth, [to daughter Stella] people are going to take pictures and scrutinize,” shared Spelling.

After comparing the scrutiny she was dealing with, with that of a normal mom, who usually doesn’t have to fuss as much over losing weight as celebrities do, she added, “It was hard to find that balance of what’s acceptable.”

Spelling then mentioned that she would notice how other Hollywood moms were able to just bounce back to their pre-baby bodies in a matter of weeks.

On this, the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star, who said she didn’t really worry about the pressure to be thin until she garnered media attention in her 20s, was honest about how it was not as easy for her.

“After I had Liam, the weight didn’t just fly right off. I had to diet and exercise. When I had Stella, I remember looking at Jessica Alba [after she gave birth] and thinking, ‘Wait a minute, it flew right off her.’ Then I read that she works out six days a week and I’m like, ‘Oh God, no, I can’t do that,’” disclosed Spelling.

Following the implementation of a healthy and balanced diet of mostly organic products, and exercising with her family, Spelling was able to lose the baby weight in seven months.

Confirming how his then-wife lost weight at that time, McDermott reiterated, “She is really good at eating healthy. She’s just as strict and driven with her diet as she is with work.”

However, years after these 2009 revelations, Tori Spelling confessed to using weight loss medication to help shed weight after her fifth pregnancy.

In her revealing podcast episode “Mis-Step” on “misSpelling,” Spelling shared her experiences with weight loss drugs, particularly Mounjaro. Postpartum with her fifth child, she faced difficulty losing the baby weight that she had previously managed to shed.

“I was lucky enough that with four of my babies, I lost the baby weight afterwards […] After Beau, I was 160 and I couldn’t lose the weight and the doctor was like, ‘Well, it’s an age thing,’ […] I had him naturally at 44 years old,” shared Spelling.

She then explained that despite her attempts to lose weight through more conventional methods like exercising, intermittent fasting, and healthy eating she still struggled, which is what prompted a visit to her doctor. Having been at a stage where she was going into menopause, she revealed further that she had to get hormones.

Her struggle to lose weight after her last pregnancy came as a juxtaposition to having been always slender her whole life — something she credits to being blessed with good genes from her mom and dad.
