Shiloh Jolie-Pitt: This is her today

When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt started dating, it caused a huge buzz in the media. No matter if you were a fan, not a fan, or just didn’t care, it was impossible to miss pictures of these two stunning stars in every magazine and newspaper.

Even with all the gossip about cheating and hidden relationships, one of Hollywood’s most famous couples stuck together for 12 years. They took care of their three biological kids and also raised three adopted children.

Angelina Jolie, famous for her role in “Tomb Raider,” had already adopted two boys named Maddox and Pax when she met Brad Pitt in 2004 while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” At that time, Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

The movie made us come together for all these wild adventures, and I believe we discovered this unusual friendship and teamwork that just sort of appeared out of nowhere.

I think a few months in I realized, ‘God, I can’t wait to get to work.’ …

Angelina Jolie shared with People in 2006 that everything we did together brought us so much happiness and showed how well we worked as a team. We really became a duo.

Back then, many people were talking about a possible love story between Pitt and Jolie, but the two of them didn’t say anything about it.

Angelina said, “We took a lot of time to think, talk, and figure out what we both wanted in life, and we found out that we actually wanted a lot of the same things.”

In 2005, Angelina decided to adopt Zahara Marley, who was born in Ethiopia, and then in 2006, Brad Pitt joined her in adopting Zahara.

In 2006, they officially became a couple when Angelina revealed that she was expecting a baby with Brad. To escape the crazy attention from the media, they decided to go to Namibia for the birth of their child.

The news that Brad and Angelina, known as “Brangelina,” were going to have a baby together spread all over the world.

Photo agencies say that the first picture of the baby was valued at around $1 million, which explains why so many paparazzi tried their hardest to get near the couple.

New York magazine said, “No baby has been awaited with such excitement since Jesus.”

On May 27, 2006, the couple welcomed a healthy baby girl named Shiloh Nouvel. She was born at a private hospital known as The Cottage Medi-Clinic, located in the seaside town of Swakopmund, Namibia.

Dr. Rothbart explained to PEOPLE that Angelina had a planned cesarean section because her baby was in a breech position.

The baby weighed a healthy 7 pounds. Brad stayed with Angelina in the operating room the whole time and even cut the umbilical cord of their daughter. Everything went perfectly during the surgery and the birth.

Brad and Angelina decided to sell the photos of their beautiful baby for a huge sum of money, and they gave all the earnings to UNICEF.

The couple shared, “As we celebrate the happiness of our new daughter’s arrival, we are aware that 2 million babies born each year in developing countries don’t survive their first day. These little ones can be saved, but it requires that governments worldwide prioritize this issue.”

This little girl was born into some really unusual situations, which made it tough for her family to go anywhere without the media watching them. Even with all the attention, her parents have worked really hard to keep their kids’ lives out of the spotlight.

Of course, all eyes remained on Shiloh. Unsurprising, considering her parents.

This May, Shiloh celebrated her 16th birthday. She’s really starting to mature quickly. The teenager is said to have a strong bond with her older brothers and sister, along with her younger twin siblings, Knox and Vivienne, who are now 14 years old.

The famous family keeps a low profile and isn’t on social media, so there’s not much information about them. However, one interesting fact that has surfaced is that their oldest biological child hasn’t used the name Shiloh for a long time.

The young girl decided to go by the name John Jolie-Pitt, a name she picked for herself. In a 2008 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Pitt shared that Shiloh had asked him to call her John instead.

”She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it’s a Peter Pan thing. So we’ve got to call her John,” he said.

We have to call her John. I’ll say, “Hey, do you want some orange juice?” and she’ll reply, “No! I’m John!” It’s the kind of funny stuff that makes parents smile, but I bet it annoys other people.

Her parents got divorced in 2019, but they totally support her choice of name and are on board with John wanting to wear matching outfits with his brothers.

Angelina shared with Vanity Fair, “She wants to be a boy. That’s why we decided to cut her hair. She loves wearing all the boys’ clothes and feels like she’s one of the guys.”

Mom Angelina agreed to the name change even though the name Shiloh was special to her.

My parents almost named their first child Shiloh Baptist, but they had a miscarriage. My dad had been hunting in Georgia, and they thought that name sounded really southern, so that’s why they picked it, she said.

I’ve always liked that name. When I stayed in hotels, I would use it: Shiloh Baptist. I even used it when Brad called me in the hotel rooms I was at.

Even though Brad and Angelina are no longer together, Shiloh still has a strong bond with both of her parents.

Additionally, media reports say that Brad Pitt takes great pride in being a father.

A source shared with Entertainment Tonight that Brad really values his kids above everything else. He often tells his friends that his children teach him a lot about life.

He and Angie have really improved their relationship since they figured out the custody rules. They’ve made a lot of progress.

Shiloh really resembles her dad, doesn’t she? A lot of people also believe she got her mom’s lips.

Brad feels really proud of Shiloh and the person she has grown into. He appreciates how she always remains authentic and treats her siblings with kindness, a source shared with ET.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt surgery

In March 2020, Angelina Jolie shared that her daughter had surgery. She wrote an article for Time to celebrate International Women’s Day.

For the past two months, I’ve been going back and forth to the hospital with my oldest daughter, Zahara, who has had several surgeries. Just a few days ago, I saw her little sister, Shiloh, get surgery on her hip.

My hope for today is that we appreciate girls. We should take care of them and understand that as they become stronger, they will be healthier and able to contribute more to their families and communities.

In 2011, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt turned heads again when she showed up at the U.K. premiere of Marvel’s “Eternals”.

People reported that she donned the same black-and-white Dior outfit that her mom wore in 2019 during a press conference for “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.”

Shiloh’s fresh look and outfit surprised a lot of people. However, this wasn’t the first occasion that Shiloh had worn her mom’s dress.

In July 2021, Shiloh attended the US premiere of “Eternals” wearing a dress by Gabriela Hearst that belonged to her mom.

Brad and Angelina show us a great example of how to handle things. They let Shiloh choose what she wants to wear and how she wants her hair to look, which is really cool!

This means that Shiloh doesn’t have to feel stressed about fitting into any specific mold, and she can slowly discover who she really wants to be. In the end, that’s what every young person is trying to figure out.
